La gare de Heidelberg-Altstadt est une gare située à l'extrémité est de la vieille ville de Heidelberg. Jusqu'au 13 décembre 2008, la gare s'appelait Heidelberg Karlstor.
Le bâtiment d'accueil d'origine a été construit lors de la construction de la ligne de chemin de fer du Neckar entre 1872 et 1873 en face du Karlstor. Le bâtiment actuel est le résultat d'une rénovation réalisée entre 1934 et 1936. Le bâtiment est classé monument historique.
