Esta es la entrada principal de la Compañía de Estación de Cable Comercial que comenzó sus operaciones en 1884. Desde aquí se recibían y enviaban telegramas a nivel mundial. En su apogeo, Waterville fue una de las estaciones de cable más grandes del mundo. En Iveragh Terrace y más tarde en West View Terrace, se construyeron casas para el personal de la Compañía de Cable Comercial y sus familias.
