Fort de Brasschaat
Le Fort de Brasschaat, construit entre 1909 et 1912, est toujours un domaine militaire et donc non accessible. Il a été utilisé jusqu'à récemment comme terrain d'entraînement, mais est maintenant abandonné et constitue un habitat important pour les chauves-souris.
Le fort fait partie d'une zone de protection spéciale européenne et se situe dans une région boisée, idéale pour des promenades le long du point de randonnée 7 du réseau 'Kempense Heide'. Dans les années 1970, l'armée belge a tenté de faire sauter en partie le fort, mais seule l'aile gauche a été détruite.
Le fort est accessible via la Bredabaan (N1) et la Sionskloosterlaan.
