Sur le site de Montalon, les cinq moulins à vent du XVIIIème siècle, aujourd'hui privés de leurs ailes, sont les seuls souvenirs des meuniers qui furent longtemps les "seigneurs" de ces lieux. Ils ont la particularité d'être situés sur le point culminant du Cubzaguais (73 mètres). Un magnifique panorama s'étend du tertre de Fronsac aux Côtes de Blaye en passant par Bordeaux. Au pied du Moulin de Montalon, une stèle indique le passage du 45ème degré latitude Nord, soit à égale distance entre le pôle Nord et l'Equateur.
