Het gerechtsgebouw, dat werd ontworpen door Sir Richard Morrison in de neoclassicistische stijl en gebouwd in zandsteen, werd voltooid in 1807. Het ontwerp omvatte een symmetrische hoofdfacade met zeven traveeën die uitkijken op de Main Street; het centrale gedeelte had een tetrastyle portico met Dorische kolommen die een entablement en een fronton ondersteunden.
