Bovenop de Heunsberg in Valkenburg staat de Wilhelminatoren, een uitkijktoren uit 1906. Het dertig meter hoge rijksmonument, is uit mergel opgetrokken in neogotische stijl met spitsboogvormige vensters en waterspuwers.
De bouw van deze toren was een antwoord op een
houten uitkijktoren op de Cauberg (die niet meer bestaat). Er waren in Valkenburg destijds twee rivaliserende verenigingen om het toerisme te bevorderen.
Deze toren past precies in het tijdsbeeld van Valkenburg als opkomende toeristische bestemming.
