Ruten kørt under en cykeltur på 3 dage i Monschau, maj 2023. Dag 3 af feriecyklingen, vi forlod parkeringspladsen i centrum ved Austraße (betalingsparkering), lige ved Rur, hvor turen begynder. Turen følger smukt den snoede Rur ad en grusvej op til Rursee i Einruhr, derefter går det op til Rurberg, (nogle dejlige terrasser ved Rursee). På vej tilbage er der steder med grusvej og rimeligt stejlt opad, så vær forsigtig. Det er dog næsten alle bilfri veje, indtil man igen når Vennbahn for at dykke ind i Monschau.

Et alternativ er at parkere ved Station Konzen, nord for Monschau, så er man direkte på Vennbahn, eller parkere ved Station Lammersdorf. Så går det ned ad bakke til Monschau.
