Bavikhove ist ein Dorf in der belgischen Provinz Westflandern und ein Stadtteil von Harelbeke. Dieser Stadtteil liegt zwischen den Stadtteilen Harelbeke und Hulste, entlang der Leie. Laut der Legende wurde die Ansiedlung von Saint Bavo gegründet, der jedoch im 7. Jahrhundert lebte. 1120 wurde Bavinkhove erstmals als villa Bavinghova erwähnt, als Zusammensetzung aus einem Personennamen und der Endung -hof, Ansiedlung. Eine erste Steinkirche wurde in der ersten Hälfte des 12. Jahrhunderts erbaut. Teile dieser Kirche, die aus Tournai-Kalkstein gebaut wurde, sind in der heutigen Kirche erhalten geblieben. Bereits vor 1146 war das Patronatsrecht der Kirche im Besitz der Sint-Bartholomeus-Abtei von Noyon.
