Das imposante Kunstwerk The Navigator Monument von Simon Dybbroe Møller basiert auf dem Logo des Netscape Navigators. Die ehemalige Suchmaschine verlor Ende der 90er Jahre ihre führende Position im Internet an Microsoft Explorer. Er goss das digitale Schiffsrad-Logo in Bronze. Jetzt, da es in seinen maritimen Kontext zurückkehrt, wird die salzige Umgebung den Patinierungsprozess beschleunigen und dafür sorgen, dass das Schiffsrad schließlich grün wird, genau wie das originale Netscape-Logo.
Der Badeort Westende wurde von der Familie von Paul Otlet, einem Internet-Visionär aus dem frühen 20. Jahrhundert, entworfen. Daher ist es sehr passend, dass Westende heute dieses Denkmal für eine frühere Internetanwendung beherbergt.
