Die Porte de la Mer ist ein Stadttor, das von der Stadtmauer übrig geblieben ist. Auf seiner Fassade ist ein Wappen zu sehen, das während des Hundertjährigen Krieges in den Stein gehauen wurde: zwei kühne Hähne und eine erhobene Pranke, die einen Ritterhelm trägt. Das Tor wurde im Laufe der Zeit verbreitert, um sich der Modernisierung des Transportwesens anzupassen und kleine Karren, große Kutschen und schließlich Autos durchzulassen.
