La reserva natural de Mengeder Heide se encuentra en el distrito de Mengede en Dortmund, Renania del Norte-Westfalia, Alemania. Está situada directamente al sureste del cruce de autopistas entre las autopistas A 2 y A 45. Al sur, limita con el Emscher y abarca 15,35 hectáreas. La reserva natural "Mengeder Heide" fue designada el 19 de junio de 1986 mediante una medida cautelar por el gobierno de distrito de Arnsberg. El 30 de noviembre de 1990 fue incluida en el plan paisajístico de Dortmund-Norte y el 2 de septiembre de 2005 en la primera modificación del plan paisajístico.
