Le château de Freizell, également appelé Schlössel de Freizell, Zellerschlössl ou Zell sous Marsbach, désigne un domaine noble sur la rive gauche du Danube, non loin du méandre de Schlögen. Il se trouve sur une colline, en contrebas du château voisin de Marsbach.
L'histoire du château remonte au Moyen Âge tardif. En 1443, Freizell est mentionné pour la première fois dans un document. Freizell était sous la suzeraineté de Passau. Jusqu'à présent en possession d'Ulrich von Starhemberg, il est ensuite passé entre les mains des seigneurs de Marsbach, les droits de propriété ayant changé plusieurs fois au cours des siècles suivants.
