Bornem est connue pour sa célèbre Dodentocht de Bornem. Cette randonnée se déroule dans et autour de la commune belge de Bornem. Cet événement est organisé chaque année par le club de marche local Kadee le deuxième vendredi d'août. L'objectif de la dodentocht est de parcourir 100 kilomètres à travers Klein-Brabant en 24 heures. La Dodentocht a été organisée pour la première fois en 1970. L'inspiration pour la randonnée a été tirée de la participation à la Nijmeegse Vierdaagse. Chaque année, 8000 à 9000 personnes, provenant notamment de Belgique, des Pays-Bas, d'Allemagne, de France et de Grande-Bretagne, y participent.
