Frauwalde fait partie de la commune de Großkmehlen dans le district d'Oberspreewald-Lausitz dans le Land de Brandebourg en Allemagne. Elle appartient à l'administration d'Ortrand dont le siège est à Ortrand.
Frauwalde est l'un des rares endroits dans le sud du district d'Oberspreewald-Lausitz qui ne se trouve pas en Lausitz mais dans le Schraden. À l'est du village se trouvent des localités de l'administration d'Ortrand, Großkmehlen au sud-est et Lindenau, ainsi qu'à l'est immédiat la ville d'Ortrand avec le quartier de Burkersdorf. À l'ouest et au nord-ouest, Frauwalde borde les communes du district d'Elbe-Elster, Großthiemig ainsi que la commune de Schraden. Au sud de Frauendorf se trouve le Land de Saxe.
