Il passo del Lukmanier collega i cantoni Grigioni (Disentis/Mustér) e Ticino (Biasca). Il passo è alto 1.914 m e la lunghezza del passo è di 65 km. Il passo segna la separazione tra l'area linguistica romancio e quella italiana. Il Passo del Lucomagno deriva dal latino "Lucus magnus", che significa grande foresta. Il parco naturale del passo Lukmanier è caratterizzato da pascoli alpini, paludi e foreste di conifere con cembri e larici.
