Doubrava si chiamava in passato Grün ed è oggi una frazione incorporata nella città di Aš nel distretto di Cheb.
La famiglia von Zedtwitz, che era già ampiamente proprietaria nel territorio di Aš, acquisì il possedimento dalla famiglia von Neuberg. Le origini del castello risalgono a un insediamento della famiglia von Zedtwitz, che intorno al 1600 aveva inizialmente il carattere di un azienda agricola. Nel 1783 fu ristrutturato in stile neogotico. Lo stemma sopra l'ingresso con l'anno 1760 è stato preso dal castello di Kopaniny. Il castello servì per un periodo come locanda, ma da quanto si può vedere è chiuso almeno dal 2016. La casa e il terreno circostante appaiono trascurati e danneggiati. Due cavalli pascolano a volte intorno alla casa.
