Il castello fu menzionato per la prima volta nel 1270. Acquistato dalla città di Sélestat nel XV secolo, fu venduto nel XVII secolo. Comprende un torrione circolare con un muro di cinta, abitazioni e una cappella.
Il sito ospita la Voliera delle aquile, che offre uno spettacolo impressionante e mozzafiato che non mancherà di emozionare: il volo libero dei rapaci più grandi del mondo tra le rovine del castello. È un'occasione unica per vedere da vicino uccelli che non si vedrebbero mai in natura.
