Met een oppervlakte van 115 hectare is het park van het Château de Chantilly het resultaat van verschillende creaties uitgevoerd volgens de mode van elke periode: de Franse tuin ontworpen door André Le Nôtre in de 17e eeuw, de Engels-Chinese tuin aan het eind van de 18e eeuw en de Engelse tuin in de 19e eeuw
Het biedt dus een unieke getuigenis van de relatie tussen mens en natuur in het Westen gedurende meer dan drie eeuwen.
Waterpartijen, vijvers, kanalen en een bebost park met beelden, een fabriek en een gehucht, zijn gebouwd rond het monumentale ensemble bestaande uit het 16e eeuwse Château des Montmorency en het 19e eeuwse Château du Duc d'Aumale (Historisch Monument en opmerkelijke tuin).
