L'altezza del Stiefelhöhe tra Unter-Abtsteinach ed Eiterbach, con i suoi 584 m s.l.m., è la quinta montagna più alta dell'Odenwald.
La linea di confine tra Assia e Baden-Württemberg attraversa il Stiefelhöhe da nord-est a sud-ovest. La maggior parte della cima con il punto più alto della montagna si trova nel comune di Unter-Abtsteinach, nel circondario di Bergstraße, in Assia. I versanti nord-est fanno parte del comune di Wald-Michelbach. A sud-est, oltre il confine di stato, si trova il comune di Eiterbach, che fa parte di Heiligkreuzsteinach. Qui, vicino alla cima, si trova il punto più alto del circondario di Rhein-Neckar, che supera i 580 m s.l.m.
