L'Union végétarienne européenne est une organisation européenne à but non lucratif dont l'objectif est de promouvoir le végétarisme.
L'Union végétarienne européenne naît à Bruxelles en décembre 1985 sous l'initiative des représentants de sept associations végétariennes européennes afin de définir des méthodes et trouver des moyens de coopérer. L'Alliance fut officialisée à Hilversum en 1988. En 2010, l'EVU est transférée à Kaiserslautern en Allemagne. Son secrétariat se trouve en Suisse.
