In het Nationaal Archeologisch Museum van Athene kan je één van de eerste analoge complexe computers zien: Het Mechanisme van Antikythera. Het dateert van ca. 140- 80 v. Chr. Het werd gevonden in een scheepswrak aan het eiland Antikythera. Het is een analoge computer met door corrosie aangetaste bronzen tandwielen.
