El Monument a la Puntaire de Vila do Conde és un homenatge a les dones de Vila do Conde que han continuat l'art de fer encaix durant segles.
El monument va ser dissenyat per Ilídio Fontes i Cláudio Ricca i va ser inaugurat el 7 de novembre de 1993.
La puntaire teixeix a mà puntes fines. L'encaix de boixets s'ha tornat molt popular a Portugal , especialment a les zones costaneres, començant a la zona nord de Caminha i acabant a la assolellada ciutat d'Olhão. Tot i això, en cap altre lloc s'ha tornat tan popular com als municipis de Vila do Conde i Peniche.
La ciutat també compta amb un museu que acull l' encaix més gran del món .
