Nordstation i Bruxelles var sammen med stationen i Mechelen de første jernbanestationer i Belgien. Det første tog kørte også mellem Bruxelles og Mechelen. Den første station, som toget tog afsted fra, lå dog ikke præcis her, men på Bruxelles-Groendreef. Fra Groendreef forlod det første tog i 1835 en offentlig jernbane på det europæiske fastland.
