Baia Heist er et naturområde i byen Heist, som tilhører den belgiske kommune Knokke-Heist. Det 50 ha store område er ejet af den flamske regering og forvaltes af Agenturet for Natur og Skov. På grund af udvidelsen af Zeebrugge havn var tidevandet på denne plads ved Heist-stranden blevet forstyrret. Der var endda et sted, hvor der slet ikke var nogen strøm. En farlig bivirkning af dette var dannelsen af kviksand, hvilket gjorde stedet livsfarligt.
