Murstenkapellet er bygget efter forbilledet af det Hellige Hus i Nazareth i pilgrimsstedet Loreto. Eremitboligen er kun delvist bygget af mursten, men primært i bindingsværk med lerfyld. Derudover er der en tjenestebygning. Endvidere er der et 18. århundredes Golgata i mergel.
Eremitten er i dag et malerisk hele, midt i naturen, hvor der løber nogle markerede vandrestier. Den er også stadig et pilgrimssted, hvor der stadig hver søndag er en messe kl. 9:15, og hvor man kan besøge caféen "den gamle skik" om søndagen eftermiddag (14:00 til 18:30).
