Het Goed ter Loo har en vigtig plads i Loppems historie. I det 17. og 18. århundrede var ter Loo sædet for godserne Loppem og Den Houtschen. Fra 1551 til 1916 var slottet beboet af familien De Schietere de Lophem. Slottet er ikke tilgængeligt, men parken er. Udover et hyggeligt picnicsted og en informationsskilt, er der også en kort vandrerute, der guider dig gennem parken og forbi seværdighederne undervejs som kirken og slottet.
