Het Goed ter Loo nimmt einen wichtigen Platz in der Geschichte von Loppem ein. Im 17. und 18. Jahrhundert war ter Loo der Sitz der Herrschaften Loppem und Den Houtschen. Von 1551 bis 1916 wurde das Schloss von der Familie De Schietere de Lophem bewohnt. Das Schloss ist nicht zugänglich, aber der Park schon. Neben einem schönen Picknickplatz und einer Infotafel gibt es auch einen kurzen Rundweg, der dich durch den Park führt und die Sehenswürdigkeiten unterwegs wie die Kirche und das Schloss zeigt.
