Vi bestiger nu en jernsandstensbakke til omkring en højde af 45 meter over havets overflade. På de ældre kort står navnene Konijnenberg, Rommelaarberg og Middelborg. Navnet Konijntjesberg stammer fra det 20. århundrede. Jernsandsten træder her frem på overfladen. Jorden er sandet og ikke særlig frugtbar. Derfor blev der plantet fyrtræer her. Herfra har du en smuk panoramaudsigt over Rillaar mellem Aarschot og Scherpenheuvel.
