Gymnasiet Paulinum i den westfalske by Münster er det ældste gymnasium i Nordrhine-Vestfalen og en af de ældste skoler i den tysktalende verden samt i Europa.
I året 797 skulle domskolen i Münster være blevet grundlagt. Man kan dog ikke henvise til et dokumenteret nævnelse, men snarere til et dekret fra Karl den Store fra 789 om at oprette en skole ved alle klostre og bispesæder. Dette har også været tilfældet i Münster, som dengang stadig blev kaldt "Mimigernafort". Klosteret blev i 797 indviet af Liudger til den hellige Paulus, hvilket betragtes som begyndelsen på schola paulina.
