Wareham Slot og byrdeforsvaret, kendt lokalt som Murene, var befæstninger i byen Wareham i Dorset, England.
Stedet for byen Wareham var sandsynligvis besat i den før-romerske periode, og en romersk bosættelse blev etableret der, idet man udnyttede dens strategiske beliggenhed langs floden Frome. Det blev taget af saxerne i slutningen af det 6. århundrede, og ved slutningen af det 9. århundrede var det blevet en af de vigtigste angelsaksiske burh'er i Dorset. Burh'erne var defensive steder oprettet af kong Alfred den Store og hans søn Edward den Ældre for at forsvare grænserne for kongeriget Wessex, selvom arbejdet i Wareham potentielt kunne have bygget på eksisterende forsvar.
