Faciliteten har sine rødder i Newtown Limavady Union Workhouse, som blev designet af George Wilkinson og blev færdiggjort i marts 1842. Det blev Limavady Distriktshospital i 1932, og efter at have sluttet sig til National Health Service i 1948, udviklede faciliteterne sig til at blive Roe Valley Hospital. Efter at tjenesterne blev overført til Altnagelvin Area Hospital, lukkede Roe Valley Hospital i 1997. Bygningerne blev efterfølgende restaureret af Limavady Community Development Initiative, en lokal velgørenhedsorganisation. I 2011 blev faciliteterne brugt som venue til et skuespil af et lokalt teaterfirma, og det fortsætter med at blive brugt til lokale sundhedstjenester som diabetesklinikker.
