L'impianto ha le sue origini nella Newtown Limavady Union Workhouse, progettata da George Wilkinson e completata nel marzo 1842. Divenne l'Ospedale Distrettuale di Limavady nel 1932 e, dopo essere entrato a far parte del Servizio Sanitario Nazionale nel 1948, la struttura si è evoluta diventando l'Ospedale di Roe Valley. Dopo che i servizi furono trasferiti all'Altnagelvin Area Hospital, l'Ospedale di Roe Valley chiuse nel 1997. Gli edifici furono successivamente restaurati dal Limavady Community Development Initiative, un'organizzazione benefica locale. Nel 2011 la struttura è stata utilizzata come sede per una commedia di una compagnia teatrale locale e continua a essere utilizzata per servizi sanitari locali come le cliniche per il diabete.
