Roosbeek ist ein Dorf in der belgischen Provinz Flämisch-Brabant und eine Teilgemeinde von Boutersem. Roosbeek war bis zur kommunalen Neuordnung von 1970 eine selbständige Gemeinde. Die ersten Schreibweisen waren Roscebeke und Rosebeke und könnten sich aus der salisch-fränkischen Form von „rietbeek“ ableiten. Zur Zeit der römischen Herrschaft erstreckte sich in einem großen Teil von Roosbeek ein großes Sumpfgebiet. Um 840 wurde es wie Kerkom in den Besitz der Abtei von Cornelimunster übergeben und kam anschließend, größtenteils über das Kapitel von Sint-Lambertus in Lüttich, in den Besitz der Abtei von Villers.
