Die Sint-Antoniusfeier findet jährlich am dritten Sonntag im Januar statt. Das Volksfest ist jetzt als immaterielles Kulturerbe anerkannt. Es wird an vielen Orten in Flandern gefeiert. Doch in Ingooigem ist die Tradition der Sint-Antoniusfeier nach wie vor sehr stark.
Traditionell kamen die Bauern am 17. Januar, dem Namenstag des heiligen Antonius von Ägypten, in die Kirche, um den Heiligen zu verehren und um seine Gunst zu bitten, damit sie ihre Schweine vor der Pest und dem sogenannten 'coud vier' (kaltes Feuer) schützen konnten. Letzteres war eine oft tödliche Entzündung an den Beinen der Schweine. Anlässlich der Feier brachten die Bauern einen Schweinskopf mit. Der Winter war nämlich die Jahreszeit, in der die Schweine geschlachtet wurden, als es noch keine modernen Kühlmöglichkeiten gab.
