Terkoest ist ein Dorf in der belgischen Provinz Limburg. Es liegt im Nordwesten der Gemeinde Alken und befindet sich an der Stelle, wo der Kozenbeek in das Tal der Herk mündet. Die ältesten Spuren von Besiedlung des Ortes stammen aus dem Ende des 12., Anfang des 13. Jahrhunderts. Zu dieser Zeit gab es eine Motte, die nicht weit von dem heutigen Schloss Leva lag.
