Nach dem Ersten Weltkrieg gründete der Tour-Sieger Odiel Defraeye eine Radrennbahn in Rumbeke. In den 60er Jahren renovierten Albert und Patrick Sercu die Bahn. Schließlich sorgte der Radsportfan und Bauunternehmer Marc Demeulenaere für eine letzte Renovierung im Jahr 2011. Noch immer ist sie ein wichtiger Anziehungspunkt für junge Radsporttalente, Radsportliebhaber, Veranstaltungsorganisatoren und Touristen.
Du kannst die Radrennbahn nur in Gruppen besuchen. Soll es für dich dennoch etwas sportlicher sein? Wage dich an eine Bahneinweihung und folge den Fußstapfen der Flandrien.
Von 1. November bis 1. März ist die Radrennbahn wegen Winterruhe geschlossen.
