Der Drongengoed-Wald hat eine schöne Fauna von Rehen und Damhirschen. Die Chance, eines von ihnen zu sehen, ist sehr groß, insbesondere bei Einbruch der Dunkelheit. Da sie im Wald des Anwesens und des Naturschutzgebiets nicht bejagt werden, sind die Tiere nicht sehr scheu. Um Unfälle mit Rehen oder Rothirschen zu vermeiden, wurden entlang des Urselwegs Reflektoren installiert. Wie der Name schon sagt, reflektieren Reflektoren das Licht von Autoscheinwerfern. Dieser Prozess erschreckt die Tiere und verhindert, dass sie die Straße zur falschen Zeit überqueren.
