Het Drongengoedbos heeft een prachtige fauna van herten en damherten. De kans om er een te zien is bijzonder groot, vooral bij schemering. Omdat ze niet worden bejaagd in het bos van het landgoed en het natuurreservaat, zijn de dieren niet erg schuw. Om ongelukken met herten of reeën te voorkomen, zijn er reflectoren langs de Urselweg geïnstalleerd. Zoals de naam al suggereert, reflecteren reflectoren het licht van autokoplampen. Dit proces schrikt de dieren af en voorkomt dat ze op het verkeerde moment de weg oversteken.
