Zum 25. Geburtstag hat der Hafen von Brüssel mehr als 50 einheimische Bäume (Apfelbäume, Pflaumenbäume, Nussbäume…) im Hafenbereich in der Nähe des Schleusenbereichs von Anderlecht am Rand des Kanals gepflanzt. Bald wird der Raum auf der Grundlage eines Managementplans der Vereinigung Natagora gestaltet. Die Baumplantaktion des Hafens von Brüssel ist nur eines der Bemühungen, die die Hafenbehörde unternimmt, um ihre Treibhausgasemissionen zu reduzieren.
