Die Sint-Franciscuskerk ist eine Pfarrkirche im zur Gemeinde Antwerpen gehörenden Ort Merksem, gelegen an der Bredabaan. Diese Kirche wurde 1893-1896 erbaut, in einer Zeit, als Merksem sich aufgrund der Erweiterung des Antwerpener Hafenareals in Richtung Merksem enorm ausdehnte und verstädterte. Die Vergrößerung der Sint-Bartholomeuskerk brachte nicht genügend Linderung, und 1890 wurde eine zweite Pfarrei in Merksem gegründet. Durch das Engagement des damaligen Bürgermeisters Frans de l’Arbre wurde die Kirche zu Ehren des Heiligen Franziskus geweiht. Die Kirche wurde nach dem Entwurf von Henri Blomme erbaut.
