In Limburg konnte man bereits zwischen Bäumen, Wasser und Heide radfahren, und nach dem Sommer wurde im Nationalpark Hoge Kempen auch eine Radroute zwischen den Abraumhalden eröffnet. An der Grenze zwischen Eisden und Lanklaar wurde eine 380 Meter lange Pontonbrücke über den See zwischen zwei Halden gebaut. Burolandschap entwarf die Brücke, das Ingenieurbüro Tractebel schuf 28 schwimmende Pontonelemente von jeweils 13 Metern. Darüber wurde eine Stahlbrücke in eleganter S-Form errichtet.
