Die „Source de la Pélerine-voie“ liegt an der Reickem-Route , die früher Pilger auf ihrem Weg nach Banneux oder viel weiter weg nahmen.
Es war so konzipiert, dass Wasser in einen Baumstumpf mit einer Jakobsmuschel darauf fließen konnte.
Der Reickem-Weg, früher Pèlerine-Voie genannt, wurde bereits im 15. Jahrhundert von Pilgern auf ihrem Weg nach Frankreich, Italien und Spanien genutzt. Diese Route durchquert große Teile der Wälder nördlich von Spa.
