In der Mitte des Platzes steht das Schauspielhaus oder Konzerthaus. Erbaut von dem Architekten Schinkel im Jahr 1818. Er ließ sich besonders von griechischen Baustilen inspirieren, achten Sie nur auf die Säulen und die Spitzdächer, als ob es sich um einen Tempel handelt. Ein wahrhaft klassisches Gebäude. Schön daran ist, dass es einen überdachten Eingang für die Theaterbesucher gibt, die damals mit der Kutsche ankamen: Man konnte direkt aus der Kutsche in den Saal flanieren. Interessant an diesem Gebäude sind die Verzierungen. Die Streitwagen auf dem Giebel hat ein Gespann von Raubtieren anstelle der üblichen Pferde. Und die Treppe wird von einem trompetenblasenden Faun flankiert, der auf einem Löwen sitzt, neben der Muse mit Harfe auf einem Löwin.
