Bad Sooden-Allendorf ist auch mit Märchen verbunden. Jedes Jahr in der Woche nach Ostern findet in Bad Sooden-Allendorf die traditionelle Märchenwoche statt. Viele Veranstaltungen wie "Märchenabende" und Theateraufführungen bringen Märchen in die Welt, umrahmt von täglichen Auftritten von Märchenfiguren im Kurpark. Im Mittelpunkt steht Frau Holle, die angeblich auf dem nahegelegenen Hohen Meißner gelebt hat und täglich die Federbetten am historischen Söder Tor ("Sooden Tor") ausgeschüttelt hat.
