Die Kirche Santa María la Blanca von Villalcázar de Sirga, die auch als Santa María de Lito bekannt ist, ist ein tempelhaftes Fort, das Ende des 12. Jahrhunderts mit dem Bau begonnen wurde, im Übergang vom Romanischen zur Gotik, und im 14. Jahrhundert beendet wurde. Sie ist ein Wahrzeichen des Jakobswegs und war eines der wichtigsten religiösen Zentren, verbunden mit dem Orden der Tempelritter, und weist ein großes künstlerisches Interesse auf. Die auffälligsten Elemente sind die Skulpturengruppe des Portals, protogotisch aus dem 13. Jahrhundert, die Sammlung von farbigen Grabmonumenten im Inneren, gotisch aus den Jahrhunderten XIII und XIV, und der Hauptaltar, gotisch aus den Jahrhunderten XV und XVI.
