Die Straßen und Plätze in Wissembourg zeigen fast alle malerische Fachwerkhäuser aus früheren Zeiten. Schön ist das Quartier du Bruch, von wo aus Sie von der Brücke über die Lauter den schönsten Blick haben. Schön ist auch die gotische Kirche St.-Pierre-et-St.-Paul aus dem 13. Jahrhundert, eine ehemalige Abtei mit prächtigen Kirchenfenstern, und die Kirche St.-Jean aus dem 15. Jahrhundert mit einem romanischen Glockenturm. Es macht Spaß, am Ufer des Flüsschens Lauter entlangzuschlendern, über die alten bepflanzten Bastionen und durch die engen alten Gassen.
