The streets and squares in Wissembourg almost all showcase picturesque half-timbered houses from former times. The Quartier du Bruch is beautiful, from which you have the best view from the bridge over the Lauter. The Gothic church St.-Pierre-et-St.-Paul from the 13th century is also lovely, a former abbey with beautiful stained glass windows, along with the church St.-Jean from the 15th century featuring a Romanesque bell tower. It's nice to stroll along the banks of the Lauter river, over the old planted ramparts and through the narrow old streets.
