Im Jahr 1891 wurde der Industrielle Edouard Jaunez für 41.000 Francs Eigentümer des Schlosses. Er entschied sich dafür, es in ein echtes Modeschloss umzuwandeln. Edouard Jaunez wurde am 13. Mai 1904 von Kaiser Wilhelm II. geadelt und am 13. Mai 1905 in den Adelsstand aufgenommen. 1912 erwarb die Verwaltung der Eisenbahnen von Elsass und Lothringen das Schloss und ordnete seinen Abriss an, um das Rangiergleis zu vergrößern. Am 11. Juni 1982 beschloss der Gemeinderat, das Schloss für 350.000 Francs zu erwerben, um das Erbe zu erhalten und es zu renovieren, um dort die städtischen Dienste einzurichten. So kam es, dass das Rathaus im Dezember 1996 dorthin verlegt wurde.
