An den sonnigen Hängen des Naturschutzgebiets gedeihen 23 Orchideenarten, aber auch zahlreiche andere Pflanzen, darunter einige mit südländischer Affinität. Neben der Vielfalt der Pflanzenarten, von denen die Orchideen, die von Mai bis Juni blühen, am spektakulärsten sind, beherbergt das Naturschutzgebiet auch zahlreiche Schmetterlinge. Im Herbst können Sie außerdem wilde Beeren und Früchte entdecken. Das Naturschutzgebiet von Montenach besteht aus sechs Hügeln, die das Dorf umgeben, und erstreckt sich über eine Fläche von 107 Hektar.
