Las soleadas laderas de la reserva natural albergan 23 especies de orquídeas, así como numerosas plantas, algunas de ellas con afinidades meridionales. Además de la variedad de especies vegetales, las más espectaculares de las cuales son las orquídeas, que florecen de mayo a junio, la reserva natural alberga muchas mariposas. En otoño también se pueden descubrir bayas y frutas silvestres. La reserva natural de Montenach consta de 6 colinas que rodean el pueblo y tiene una superficie de 107 hectáreas.
